When you view the new Jeep Cherokee for the first time, you'll probably notice its unique, iconoclastic styling. The look has never been seen in the lineup of new Jeep lineup before, and we were thrilled to see its international debut recently at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.

"China is the largest market for the Jeep brand outside of the U.S., and one out of every five vehicles in the mid-size SUV segment is sold in China. Hence, it just makes sense that the new Jeep Cherokee has its international debut in Shanghai,"1 says president and CEO of Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLX, and COO for Asia Pacific region, Fiat S.P.A.

Here at Griffin Motors Company we're always trying to keep our Meadville area customers informed about what's up with the brand on the international spectrum, and the Cherokee is receiving a special name for its entrance into the Chinese market.

It will be called "Zi You Guang," or the "Liberty Lite" in English when it hits the streets of the world's most populous nation.

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee will feature the inaugural nine-speed automatic transmission for its segment, and delivers a 30 percent increase in gas mileage over the outgoing Jeep Liberty. For the Chinese market, two 4X4 systems will be available for driving in all weather conditions.

For more information, stop by our convenient location at 11031 Perry Highway Meadville, PA. We'll walk you through our available Jeep finance options, so stop by soon.
