It seems like American automaker Dodge has been offering quite a few special edition models as of late. This time, though, there's an anniversary to celebrate. Dodge has just reached its centennial, and to celebrate, they're offering 100th Anniversary Editions of both the Charger and the Challenger.

The last century has been pretty good to Dodge, which was founded in 1914 by brothers John and Horace Dodge. That same year, their first all-steel-chassis vehicle set an impressive benchmark by selling 45,033 units. Now, a hundred years on, it would seem that the brand's penchant for ingenuity and style has remained a core aspect of its identity.

"The Dodge Charger and Challenger are the perfect foundation to celebrate 100 years of Dodge style and performance," said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge's CEO and president. "Over the last century, the Dodge brand has seen its biggest success when we've combined head-turning designs with ingenious engineering and world-class performance." 1

If you're on the market for a car that will really grab people's attention, the special edition Challenger will do it even more so. This model will offer 20 inch five-spoke aluminum wheels, special badging both inside the car and outside, as well as the landmark style you've come to expect from the brand.
