The 2017 Jeep® Compass, which is replacing both the prior generation Patriot and Compass models, has obviously inherited its looks from the Cherokee with its more aerodynamic shape representing the new direction in Jeep design.

The 2.4-liter TigerShark MutliAir 2 engine offers best-in-class 4x4 highway fuel economy when paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and features engine stop-start for increased efficiency. 4x2 models may be matched to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, while 4x4 versions pair to the six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic.

A fourth-generation Uconnect® infotainment system includes pinch-and-zoom capability, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a choice of 5.0-, 7.0- or 8.4-inch touchscreens. The Compass boasts more than 70 available advanced safety and security features, including seven standard air bags and electronic roll mitigation.
